Summerwind
- the Name -

Reading this pages one might come to the conclusion that the name Summerwind is inspired from Frank Sinatra and that I‘m a big Fan of “Old blue eye”. I like his music but this is not how it came to the name Summerwind:

In summer 2002 Mia, Linni and myself visited a local boat show in the island of Valkosaari in Helsinki harbor. We were sitting in green grass with some drinks, sky was blue and the light bright and peaceful as it can only be in the north. From the sea came a warm gentle breeze and suddenly I knew – when I buy a boat it will be named Summerwind.

Later I told Pekka about the boat name and he suggested Summerwind as the boat song. We developed this whole Sinatra stuff into the boat theme and “Summer wind” was played often (thanks to music arrangement from Axel) during shake down
